Kenneth S. Foster, 79, of Blind Sodus Bay Road in Red Creek, died Monday at University Hospital. Kenneth was a native of Cranston, RI and had resided in Vestal for 20 years. He moved to Red Creek in 1999. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, attaining the rank of captain and is a veteran of the Korean War.
Kenneth enjoyed a full career as Party Chief Surveyor for the Operating Engineers Union and trained apprentice surveyors with the Engineers Joint Training Fund. He was a member and former treasurer of the American Legion Post #658.
He was predeceased by his son, Gregory Foster in 1978 and survived by his three sons: Kenneth Marta Foster of Vestal, NY; James Foster of Ketchikan, AK; Barry Sharon Foster of Apex, NC; and their mother: Frances Foster of Vestal, NY; his sister: Claire Shields of Prescott Valley, AZ; as well as four grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Hayden, and Carissa.
