Freyer April 6, 2005 Doris J. Freyer, 62, formerly of Syracuse, died unexpectedly on April 6 in Titusville, FL. A native of New York City, Mrs. Freyer resided in the Syracuse area most of her life and only recently moved to Florida. Doris spent most of her life as a homemaker and was the Manager of the Sherman Williams paint store in Oneida for several years. She was a member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Manlius. Her free time was often spent in the park, swinging and playing with her grandchildren, and she also loved to do puzzles along with arts and crafts. Surviving are her daughter, Lisa O'Neil of North Syracuse; and her son, John Slade; her father, Eugen Turschmann of Mattydale; four sisters, Elizabeth Stein of Fishkill, Linda Diaz of Paramus, NJ, Jean Dodge of Highpoint, NC, Sue McIntyre of Mattydale; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Katie, Tomas and Kara. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Burial in West Virginia will follow at a later date.
