Stephen Gagnon

Stephen Andre Gagnon, 51, of Willow Road in North Syracuse, died Sunday at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA after a long courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Stephen was a life resident of North Syracuse.
Steve was a graduate of Liverpool High Class of 1975 and served in the US Navy after high school. He was employed for many years by 174th Tactical Fighter Wing in Syracuse as an aircraft mechanic before retiring in 1990. He was an avid boater and fisherman, enjoyed playing golf and was a die hard fan of the NY Giants. Steve's greatest pleasure in life was his two children.
Surviving are his wife of 26 years, the former Kristin Savage, their two children: J.P. and Stephanie Gagnon, both living at home; his parents: Francis Andre and Jeannine Gagnon of Clayton; two sisters: Michelle James Hale of North Syracuse and Suzanne Gagnon in Liverpool; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm on Wednesday with funeral services following at 7pm at the Krueger Funeral Home 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale. The family has requested no flowers be sent and contributions be made to the Gagnon Children's Educational Fund, 7181 Willow Road, North Syracuse NY 13212.
