Genevieve Lynn Francis

Genevieve Lynn Francis, 80, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025, at Pontiac Nursing Home in Oswego. Raised in East Syracuse, Lynn was a 1963 graduate of East Syracuse High School. She resided on Surbrook Road in Baldwinsville for 41 years.

 Lynn worked as a manager at the former Rollaway Bearing Employees FCU and at Summit FCU for 40 years before retiring in 2011. Previously she worked for University Toyota. Lynn was a member of the Lutheran Brotherhood and past Lieutenant of the Seneca River Fire Dept where she was an EMT. She attended St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Baldwinsville and enjoyed playing Bunco with the Bunco Club.

 Lynn was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Bernice Francis, her brother and sister-in-law, Richard “Dick” and Shirley Francis. 

She is survived by a son, Dale (Nikole Wallace) Nolan of Liverpool; her brother: Russell C. Francis of Jacksonville, FL; three grandchildren: Devin (Jessi), Trevor, and Broc Nolan; a great granddaughter, Sophie; four nephews: Scott, Robert (Diane), Michael, and Richard (Michelle) Francis; and her cousins, Raymond (Una) Francis of Stevensville, MD, and John (Emmy) Francis of Williamstown, NJ. 

 Contributions in Lynn's memory may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church or to Seneca River Volunteer Fire Dept.

Friends may call on Friday, May 30, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home. Services will begin on Saturday, May 31, 10:00 am, at the funeral home with burial following in Pet Haven Cemetery, Syracuse with her beloved pets Buffy, Frosty, and Woody.
