Florence "Flo" Geno, 82, formerly of 113 South Plymouth Ave and Orchard Estates in Mattydale, passed away Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Care. A native of Syracuse, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie Vescera.
Flo was employed at Buttercup Bakery in Syracuse as a clerk and bakery assistant for 8 years until retiring in 1990. Prior to that, she was employed at Thor Metal as a machine operator.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Francis W. Geno in 1990.
Surviving are her three daughters: Frances M. Geno of Syracuse, Candy G. Klink of Liverpool and Nancy Gary Kellogg of Tuscon, AZ; two sons: Tony Vivian Longo and Michael J. Kim Geno, both of Mattydale, NY; five grandchildren: Tony Kellogg, Lisa Maxson, Tammy Wilson, Jude Powell, and Jamie Klink; and one great grandson, Keagan Kellogg.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Contributions in Flo's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
