Jeanean M. Glahn, 81, of Cicero, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at home with her companion by her side. Jeanean grew up on the South side of Syracuse where she graduated from Central Tech in 1953 where she performed as a Majorette. Jeanean resided in the Liverpool and Moyers Corners areas before living in Cicero for the past 27 years. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Lola (Nichols) DeLosh.
Jeanean has been a fixture at Wicker World in Cicero since 1990. She is the former owner of Jeanean's Boutique in Liverpool and studied and later assisted in teaching Joan Condlin's School of Dance in Liverpool for many years. She was an animal rights activist who supported the local SPCA and Humane Associations, as well as the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. Jeanean was an accomplished artist and loved to paint with water colors. She enjoyed traveling especially to Disney and St. Thomas and attending furniture shows.
She was predeceased by her two husbands, John Humez and Robert Glahn.
Jeanean is survived by her soul mate of many years, Tony Masterpol of Cicero; four children: John (Terry Lynne) Humez, Linda (David) Shomar, all of Fayetteville, Diane (Kurt) Prevo of Liverpool, and Cynthia Glahn of Weedsport; a brother and sister-in-law: Mark and Linda DeLosh of Dewitt; a sister, Shirley DeLosh of Syracuse; 9 grandchildren: James, Jonathan, Michelle, Alex, Melissa, Sean, Lindsay, Nick and Jennifer; 4 great grandchildren, Jacob, Riley-May, Aaliya, and Giada; her niece, Nicole and her nephew, Mark.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jeanean's memory may be made to the Humane Assn., 4915-1/2 W. Taft Rd., Liverpool, NY 13088.
Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, 10 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Liverpool.
