Michael E. Gleason, 66, lifelong resident of Liverpool, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the Veterans Hospital in Syracuse. Michael was a 1968 graduate of Liverpool High School and the son of the late George and Jane (Bruce) Gleason.
He attended O.C.C. before joining the US Army. As a Vietnam Veteran, Michael served in the I Corps with Charlie Company. He was a factory worker at Carrier Corporation in Syracuse for 28 years before retiring in 2008. Michael was a member of the Syracuse D.A.V. and a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church in Liverpool.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, the former Dolores Kuznia and her children: Jennifer Wood and Edward B. Wood, II, all of Liverpool; a granddaughter, Ashley Moran and a great granddaughter, Gianna; his five siblings: David (Eunice) Gleason of GA, J. Thomas (Ira) Gleason of FL, William Gleason and Ronald Capone both of Syracuse, and Mary Ann Waldron-Gleason of Bernhards Bay; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Thursday from 4 - 7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Prayer Services will begin Friday, 9:15 am at the funeral home followed by a 10 am funeral service at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Liverpool. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum, Syracuse.
