Brenda Goodnough

Brenda J. Goodnough, 70, of North Syracuse, died Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Syracuse Home in Baldwinsville. Brenda was a 1963 graduate of North Syracuse High School and resided in the Cicero and North Syracuse areas for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Kostec and Mary (Stolar) Filipski.

Brenda retired in 1997 after more than 25 years as a line worker at Oberdorfer Foundries in Syracuse. She loved baking and cooking especially canning her produce. Brenda was best known for her loving and caring nature and was a ray of sunshine.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 20 years, Edward "Poppy" Brayen; a daughter: Melissa Ogrodoski of North Syracuse; a grandson, Zachary (Deanna) Gerald of Lowell, MA; and an adopted grandson, Josh (Jess) Kowalski of Clay.
