Samantha Guilford

Sami Guilford, of Gillette Rd. Cicero, died peacefully on the morning of July 5th surrounded by family and friends. Sami lived in Cicero her whole life and enjoyed walking with her dad at many local stores. She was a member of Sacred Heart parish and loved strolling up and down the aisles at the 9:30 Sunday mass. Sami loved going to school from the moment she got on the bus till the moment she arrived home. She attended the Main St. School EEP, Allen Rd. Elementary and the OCM BOCES, "TEAM" program at Camillus Middle. Sami had a passion for swimming. She would amaze everyone at how freely and happily she moved in the water.

Sami is survived by her Dad and Mom, Bret and Evie, big brother Benjamin, younger sister Alex, Grandma Jacquie Miller of N. Syracuse, Grandma Betty and Grandpa Denny Guilford of Hicksville Ohio, Maternal Great Grandparents Jack and Bonnie Small of Floral City Fl. and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Sami was predeceased by her Grandpa Bob Miller in 2004.

Sami was loved and cared for by her longtime friend and nurse Eveline. Teachers, Laurie Matt, Chris and Cheri. Case manager, Denise. Morning helper, Ann. Dr. Vito Losito, and all the other Doctors and nurses at Child Health Care Associates, University Hospital, and the Pediatric ICU.

Friends may call Tuesday from 3 – 8 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home Inc., 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Services are 8:45 am Wednesday at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at the Sacred Heart Church in Cicero.

Sami will be remembered for her great enthusiasm, strong will and beautiful smile. She touched the hearts of everyone who met her, and taught us all so much. She will be greatly missed.
