Beverly, 85, passed away Saturday at Van Duyn Nursing Home. Born in Syracuse, Beverly resided in Santa Rosa, CA, for 30 years prior to moving to Sandra Lane in North Syracuse. She was the daughter of the late Glenn L. and Mary E. (Cartwright) Perrigo.
Beverly worked as an Airline Stewardess for Delta and TWA. She volunteered for many years and later received her certification as a long term Health Care Nurse Assistant and was employed until 1996 when she was injured. Beverly was an avid fan of the Phil Markert Show and was known as "Bev I." She followed Nick Mulpagano and participated at his performances.
Beverly was predeceased by her husbands: Minard Gunderson, James Knapp, and Leonard Higgens, her beloved daughter, Barbara Higgens, and by two brothers, Glenn "Lee" Perrigo Jr. and Robert J. Perrigo.
Surviving are her two sons: Robert (Donna) Orizino of Baldwinsville and David (Cheryl) Orizino of East Syracuse; two daughters: Terry (Dennis) Garcia of FL, and Karen Aumick who is living abroad; a sister: Sally (Joseph) Brisson of North Syracuse; a brother: Kevin (Donna) Perrigo of Liverpool; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, NY. Prayer services will begin on Thursday, 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret's Church. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Syracuse.
