Carol Hallatt, 71, of Mattydale, died Wednesday at Crouse Hospital with her loving family surrounding her. Carol grew up on the North side of Syracuse and was the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Senske) Steinbach.
Her career was devoted to being a full time wife, mother and grandmother. She attended Assumption Academy and was a 1959 graduate of North High. Carol enjoyed bowling on several leagues in the past, as well as camping, traveling, and visiting the Turning Stone Casino. She was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale.
Carol is survived by her husband of 52 years, Arthur Hallatt; their four sons: Michael (Mary) of Utica, Kenneth (Barbara) of Jacksonville, FL, Richard of Cicero, and Kevin (Tracylee) of Liverpool; her two siblings: Jean Troendle of Syracuse and Robert Steinbach of Pompey; six grandchildren: Ashley, Ross, JoAnne, Kayleigh, Abigail, and Karly; and her seven great grandchildren.

Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Prayers will begin on Tuesday, 9:30 am at the funeral home with a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret's Church following. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
