James E. Hanley, 56, of Shallowcreek Road in Liverpool, died Sunday at Crouse Hospital. James was a native of the Syracuse area and has resided in Liverpool since 1988. He was the son of the late Martin and Gloria Hanley.
James received his Associates Degree in accounting from Columbia College. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the US Army and for the past 16 years was employed by Brannock Device in Liverpool as a manager. James was an avid golfer and a member of Brooklawn Golf Club Men's league; he was also a communicant of St. Daniel's Church.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years, the former Toni Shuster; his daughter and her husband: Tracey and Richard Amato of Syracuse; and his granddaughter: Ella "Lily pod".
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in Assumption Mausoleum.
