Rosemary Haussig

Rosemary "Rose" P. Smith Haussig, 54, of Bramblebush Circle in Liverpool died Friday at Loretto Fahey Nursing Home. Rose was a native of Syracuse, grew up in North Syracuse and resided in Liverpool for the past 20 years. She was the daughter of the late William T. and Edith J. Smith.
Rose was a 1974 graduate of North Syracuse High and had worked as a banquet waitress for over 20 years at the Holiday Inn in Liverpool. She was a former member of the North Syracuse Jaycees and an avid NASCAR fan. Rose had a special mother and child relationship with her nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her husband of 17 years: Lester "Steve" Haussig; her step-children: Daniel Christen Haussig of Atlanta, GA, James Haussig and Amy Jon Hess, both of North Syracuse; four grandchildren: Isabell, Elizabeth, Robert and Daniel; her three siblings: Ronald Eileen Smith of Minoa, Robert Smith and Jean-Marie Louis Grant, both of Syracuse; as well as many nieces and nephews and two great nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale, with the funeral service following at 7pm. Private burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery, North Syracuse.
