Kathleen A. Ryan Hawk, 92, of Oswego, passed away Saturday at her home. Kathleen was a native of Syracuse and had resided in Mattydale for over twenty years before moving to Oswego. She was the daughter of the late William A. Ryan and Helen Clougherty.
Kathleen worked as a senior clerk at the Salina Free Library from 1978 to 2000. Prior to that, she was a buyer for Suburban Hardware and Paint in Fairmount for 12 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, William H. Hawk in 2003. They were married for 56 years.
Surviving are her son Herbert W. Barnes and his wife Rosalind, of North Kingstown RI; her two grandsons, William and his wife Pam, of RI, and Denis, of RI; and one great granddaughter Kathleen, of RI. She was also the grandmother of the late Richard Barnes.
A Memorial Service will be held at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 10:00am. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Salina Free Library, 100 Belmont Street in Mattydale, NY.
