September 23, 1955 — October 31, 2005

H. Christopher Hilton, 50, of Wellington Rd., N. Syracuse died suddenly Monday due to a work related accident. He was raised in Hilton and resided in Rochester for 10 years before moving to North Syracuse 17 years ago. He was a 1974 graduate of Hilton High School, where both his parents taught school in the district, and received an Associates Degree in Advertising and Design from Mohawk Valley Comm. College. Chris worked as a truck driver for various local companies including Palmer Leasing & Delivery and most recently Systemfreight Co.
He was a communicant of St. Margaret?s RC Church in Mattydale, a member of the Syracuse Teamsters local # 317, and had volunteered on the annual fund drive as a cyclist for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. He enjoyed the outdoors by camping, swimming and fishing whenever he had the chance. He was also a self taught bicycle repairman.
Chris is survived by his wife of 27 years Susan Quartier, his parents, H. Bruce and Joan Ballerdini Hilton of Rochester, a daughter Alyssa Hilton living at home, a sister Terry Mike Higbee of Chandler AZ, 13 nieces and nephews Josh Muters, Missy & Nicholas Reed, Jim & Kim Quartier, Tim, Tori & T.J. Burns, Brian, Elizabeth & Jillian Keevil, Jim & Craig Higbee.
Services will be at 9:15 am Friday at the Krueger Funeral Home and 10 am in St. Margaret?s RC Church, Mattydale. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7:30 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, NY 13211.
