Gordon S. Horner Jr.

Gordon S. Horner, Jr., 56, of Syracuse, died Thursday. Gordon was born and raised in Syracuse and was the son of Edith D. (Fleury) and the late Gordon S. Horner, Sr.

Gordon was a self employed construction worker for over 30 years, He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was an avid outdoorsman. Gordon was an honorable man who loved his family and was true to himself and his friends. He will be missed greatly. Gordon attend St. John the Baptist Church and was an Altar Server there during his youth.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his brother, Keith in 2010.

Surviving are his children: Latasha (James Cummings) Horner, Gordon (Lyza) Horner, III, Mark Horner and Dustin Clarke, all of Syracuse; his mother, Edith of Syracuse; his three siblings: Sarah, Earl, and James Horner, all of Syracuse; and his grandchildren: Jena, Gordon IV, Jacob, Collin, Anthony, Jaimen, and Gabriel.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 10 am - 12 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a Noon prayer service following. Mass will be held at 1:00 at St. John the Baptist Church.
