Ida Hurley

July 2, 1908 — December 23, 2007

Ida B. Graham Hurley, 99, of Chittenango, passed away Sunday at St. Joseph?s Hospital. Ida was a native of Baldwinsville and was born to the late William Graham and Rosetta Smith. She formerly resided in the Kirkville area since 1975 before moving to Chittenango.
Ida worked as a cooking teacher for the government education program ?Manpower? for 22 years before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Lucy?s Church.
Ida was predeceased by her husband Patrick J. Hurley in 1975 and her three sons, Daniel, Patrick, and Timothy Hurley.
Surviving are her five children, Sheila Francis Kuryla, of Liverpool, Catherine Kimberly, of Kirkville, Cornelius Hurley, of Liverpool, Brian Barbara Hurley, of Kirkville, and Leo Susan Hurley, of Houston, TX; her sister, Genevieve Merritt, of Cicero; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 3-6pm Friday at Krueger Funeral Home 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale. Prayer will be Saturday at 9:15am at the funeral home followed by Mass at St. Lucy?s Church at 10:00am. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Contributions may be made in Ida?s name to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons Street, Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
