Roselyn "Rose" P. Indick, 82, lifelong resident of the North side of Syracuse, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Rose was the daughter of the late Louis and Theresa (Delmonico) Pappalardo and a graduate of Vocational High School.
She owned and operated a variety store, F & R Sales for many years on North Salina Street. Rose enjoyed camping at Brennan's Beach and her winter home in Lakeland, Florida. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and entertaining friends and family at her home. Rose was a former member of Temple Baptist Church in Baldwinsville.
She was predeceased by two sons, Louis and Francis Indick, III, in 1987 and 2010, and by a brother, Anthony Pappalardo, and a sister, Dolores Mercurio.
Rose is survived by her husband of 54 years, Frank Indick II; her children: Michael (Diane) Moore of West Monroe and Robin (Frank) Verginio of Lincolnton, GA; 11 grandchildren: Michelle, Jeanette, Michael Jr., Jessica, Samantha Vincent, Victoria, Joshua, Todd, Amanda, and Brooke; her 14 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Dominick Mercurio; several nieces and nephews; and by her beloved "Duke."
Contributions in Rose's memory may be made to St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care Fund, 301 Prospect Ave., Syracuse, NY 13203.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 - 7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, 11 am, at the funeral home with burial in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse, following.
