Nancy M. Jay, 73, of Liverpool, died Sunday, April 2, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Nancy was born in Auburn to the late Edward and Catherine (Walsh) Strong. She grew up in Skaneateles where she was a 1963 graduate of Skaneateles High School.
Nancy retired in 2009 after 15 years as a Home Health Aide. She previously managed John's Atlantic Seafood in Baldwinsville and also worked at Syracuse China for many years. Nancy was the past President of the Syracuse Right-to-Life Association, and ran both their NYS Fair booth and oratorical contest. She was a member of the North Syracuse Senior Citizens Group and loved spending her time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing Pitch with the Home Base Pitch League. Nancy was a former member of St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale, and Cold Springs Christian Reformed Church in Baldwinsville.
She was predeceased by her son, David Jay in 2014, and by her sister, Margaret A. Justin and brother, William Strong.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 51 years, Frederick K. Jay; three children: Christine (Christopher) Tivnan of Holden, MA, Kevin (Kesa) Jay of Oswego, and Brian (Babs) Jay of Baldwinsville; her three siblings: Catherine Sankey of Auburn, Mary A. Strong of New Hartford, and Ted Strong of Chicago, IL; and six granddaughters: Morgan, Shannon, Allison, Samantha, Chinnaphat, and Ramida.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral Services are Thursday, 10 am at the funeral home with burial in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
