Rocco John JR.

Rocco John Jr., 54, of Loretta Lane, Clay, passed away Monday at St. Joseph?s Hospital in Syracuse. He was the son of Rocco John and Helen Kunai. He grew up and resided in Mattydale for many years before residing in Clay for the past 14 years.

Rocco graduated from North Syracuse High School in 1970 and worked for the past 22 years as a sheet metal worker for New Venture Gear in East Syracuse. Prior to that, Rocco worked for 15 years for the Local 58 Sheet Metal Workers. He was on the board of directors for the Beach Place Condominiums in Madiera Beach, Florida.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife of 35 years the former Janet Fisher, two sons, Brian Angela John, of Clay and Trevor John, of Caughdenoy, NY, his daughter, Trista John, of East Syracuse, four grandchildren, Matthew, Alexis, Julie and Cole, three brothers, Walter John, of Syracuse, Frank John, of Arkansas, and Michael John, of East Syracuse, and two sisters, Sharon May of Mattydale and Sandra Valerio, of Memphis, NY.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Thursday at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
