Jeffrey Johnson, 46, of Otisco Road, Marietta, passed away Tuesday at University Hospital due to injuries sustained in a traffic accident on Saturday. A native of Cambridge MN, Jeff was the son of the Reverend Leonard and Joyce Copeland Johnson and resided in the Otisco Area for the past 10 years.
Jeff was a 1979 graduate of Maryvale High in Cheektowaga NY. He retired after 20 years at the rank of Chief with the US Navy and was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. For the past eight years, he worked for the Baer Supply Company in East Syracuse most recently as a Regional Manager. Jeff was a member of the VFW Post 7290 in North Syracuse and was an avid fan of the Syracuse Crunch. He was an accomplished amateur chef and enjoyed his dart league. He was a communicant of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in North Syracuse.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are his wife of 25 years, Jill Rosencrance; his two daughters, Tonia Long, of LaFayette, and Jessica and her husband David Andrews, of Otisco; his granddaughter, Lillian Andrews; his sister, Deborah and her husband Anthony Ragucci, of Knoxville TN; two brothers, Andrew and his wife Rosanne Johnson, of Alden, and Gregory and his wife Heather Johnson, of Raleigh NC; and his 8 nephews and nieces.
Friends may call from 4-8 pm Friday at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Services will be at 10:00 am Saturday at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in North Syracuse. Burial will be in St. Patrick?s Cemetery in Otisco.
