Joseph W. Hauck, 82, of Pennellville NY and Brooksville, FL, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023, in Florida. Born in Syracuse, Joe was the son of the late John and Margaret (McCall) Hauck. He grew up on the South side of Syracuse and was a 1959 graduate of St. Anthony’s School. He received his B.A. in Business Management from C.C.B.I. in 1986.

Joseph was a veteran of the US Army and retired from the City of Syracuse Code Enforcement in 1994 after 10 years as a code enforcement officer. Previously, Joe was a self-employed as a professional painter. Joe was a member of the VFW John Vendetti Post, a life member of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Curley Council, and a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church in Syracuse. He enjoyed working with his hands creating cedar chests for his family and donating his crafts to cancer survivors.

He was predeceased by his wife, the former Barbara J. (Cahill), a brother, William Hauck, and his granddaughter, Alicia.

Joseph is survived by his four children: Joanna M. (Robert) Brooks of Pennellville, Donna Hauck Depalma of Baldwinsville, Sheila Russell (Jeff Inman) of Port Richey, FL and John "Jay" (Wendi) Hauck of Acworth, GA; his companion, Dolly Delamater; eight grandchildren: Cory, Joshua, Eddie, Timothy, Adam, Chaz, Hudson, and Ethan; ten great grandchildren: Christian, Alayna, Paige, Jay, Sylus, Roman, Emmerson, Cassidy, Mia, and Paisley; and three nieces, Kathy, Cindy, and Patty. He recently discovered family members which includes siblings and multiple nieces and nephews.

Services will be announced at a later date. Spring burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
