Joyce L. Skelly

Joyce L. Skelly, 82, of Cicero, passed away Wednesday, October 18^th, 2023. Born in Syracuse to the late John and Cora (Rogers) Hart, Joyce was raised on the South side of the city and was a 1959 graduate of Central High School.

Joyce worked for 30 years as a stenographer for Equifax before retiring in the 1990’s. She loved flower gardening, reading books and cuddling with her dog, Lilly.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, James F. Skelly; three children: Wendy Himes of Syracuse, Jack (Heather) Himes II of Mexico, and Timothy (Tammy) Himes of Lafayette; four siblings: David Hart of TX, Richard Hart of Brockport, Daniel Hart of Rochester, and carol Hart of Syracuse; her six grandchildren: Jack III, Morgan, Madison, Timothy Jr., Sidney, and Jillian; four great grandchildren: Jack IV, Louise, Wilder, and Grayson; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Lilly.
