Wilbert "Web" C. Kennedy, 83, of North Syracuse, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015, at home. A native of McGraw, Web was a 1950 graduate of McGraw High School and was the son of the late Clifford and Eva (Cranson) Kennedy. He resided in Brewerton with his wife, Katie, for 50 years before moving to North Syracuse 10 years ago.
Web served in the US Navy from 1952-1955 during the Korean War assisting in sonar operations and maintenance. Upon his discharge, Web worked in high power engineering for General Electric in Liverpool for 35 years before retiring in 1990. He was an original founding member of the Toad Harbor Rod & Gun Club in Hastings, an avid fisherman, and hunter. In addition to his outdoor hobbies, Web enjoyed operating his Ham radio under the call WA2GEI.
He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, the former Catherine "Katie" Funk.
Web is survived by their three daughters: Margaret "Peggy" (Joe) Izzo of North Syracuse, Doreen "Turtle" (Mike) Maher of Manassas, VA, and Susan (Rick Wiggins) Exner of Auburn; 11 grandchildren: Jennifer, Christopher, Tyler, Ryan, Joshua, Matthew, Christina, Joanna, Michael, Stacey, and Jonathan; and seven great grandchildren: Natalya, Vinnie, Andrew, Layla, Seth, Gauge, and McKenna.

Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, 10 am, at the funeral home. Burial will be in McGraw Rural Cemetery.
