Harnold ?Arnie? F. Klock, 94 of Allen Rd., N. Syracuse, died Friday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. A native of Syracuse Arnie resided for many years at 2 Copeland Ave. in Homer before moving to North Syracuse 43 years ago. He worked as a chef at the Bellevue Country Club and at the Cortland House before entering the US Army during WWII. He served as a Master Sergeant in the China, Burma and India theaters. Upon returning he worked for 32 years as a Meat Cutter at Peters Grocery in Nottingham Plaza until he retired in 1978. Arnie was a Charter member of the Nedrow Volunteer Fire Dept., a Life Member of the Homer Volunteer Fire Dept. and a past secretary of the Triumphant Hose Co. in Homer. He was also a communicant of St. Margaret?s Catholic Church in Mattydale.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years the former Blanche Jeffery in 2000 and a brother James A. Klock in 1965. Surviving are a daughter Darlyne Brown of North Syracuse, three grandchildren, Barbara Brown of Syracuse, Robert Mellissa Brown of Liverpool, Mary Dan Sagor of Mattydale, and seven great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Monday at the Krueger Funeral Home Mattydale. Services will be 11:30 am Tuesday at the funeral home 2619 Brewerton Rd. and 12 noon in St. Margaret?s Church. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
