Mary Ann Kolodziejczyk, 62, of Baldwinsville, passed away Saturday, April 16th at home. Born in Syracuse to the late Charles and Irene (Dombrowski) Carbery, Mary grew up in North Syracuse where she graduated from North Syracuse High School in 1977. She attended Onondaga Community College and Syracuse University and then earned her bachelor’s degree in premed from Dannen’s University in Buffalo. Mary resided most of her adult life in the Liverpool area.
She retired from Onondaga County in 2007 after more than 20 years with the Medical Examiner’s Office and the 911 Center as a dispatcher. Prior to that, Mary worked at several retail stores in the Syracuse area. She loved to shop and enjoyed crafting. She was an avid NASCAR fan. Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren and was an accomplished baker with their help. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Baldwinsville.
In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph and Donald Carbery.
She is survived by her children: Tiffany Kolodziejczyk of Cicero, Nicholas Kolodziejczyk of Chittenango, Pamela (David) Byrne of Liverpool, and Kevin Rech of Camillus; a sister, Karen (Roger) Trouesdale of Virginia; her significant partner of many years, Donald Weigand as well as her very close friend, Mary Hoare; many grandchildren; a great grandson; her dog, Rosie and her cat, Tucker.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, April 21st, from 4:00 -7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a funeral service following at 7:00 pm. Burial will be Saturday, April 23rd,10:00 am, in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Warners.
