Joseph "Joey Kaye" Kozubowski, 63, a lifetime resident of Syracuse, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 22, with his family at his side. He was born in Syracuse, and resided mostly in the Lyncourt area. He the son of the late Rose (Tranelli) and Joseph F. Kozubowski, Sr.
Joe's biggest joy was his family. He is survived by his companion, Susan King of East Syracuse; a son, Joseph Kozubowski, III of Fayetteville: daughters: Lisa Hutton of Solvay and Amy (John Bears) Kozubowski of Liverpool; his sister, Joann Kozubowski of Syracuse; and 13 grandchildren: Daniella, Kailey, Meghan, Tayton, Michael, Joey, Javanna, Cameron, Elizabeth, Patricia, William, Alex, and John Jr.
Joe was formerly employed by Allied Chemical. He was the owner of Joey Kaye's Bar in Fulton in the 1990's. He previously worked at Turning Stone and most recently was a bartender at the Loop Grill. Joe enjoyed playing the horses, black jack, craps, family bbq's and get togethers. He loved his pets as if they were his own kids: his dog, Simon, and cats: Raja, Fluffy, Socks, and Andy. Joe attended St. Daniel's Church in Lyncourt.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 -8:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home Inc., 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, NY. Funeral Services are Wednesday, 9:00 am, at St. Daniel's Church, 3004 Court St., Syracuse. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt.
