Shirley E. Lamb, 80, of Mattydale, died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Shirley was a native of Lacona and had resided at 401 Factory Ave in Mattydale for many years before moving to the Bessie Riordan Senior Apartments in 2000. She was the daughter of the late George and Lottie White.
Shirley was a 1944 graduate of Sandy Creek High School. She worked for the television division of General Electric in Liverpool from 1956-1965 and then worked for Hill & Mitchell Limousine Service, and later as a home health aid for Independent Health Aid, from which she retired in 1998. Shirley enjoyed reading and making ceramics.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 29 years, Robert H. Lamb, Sr. in 1975.
Surviving are her five children: Cindy Joe Mondo of North Syracuse; Bob Colene Lamb of Chittenango; Harry Lamb of PA, Joel Jackie Lamb of Liverpool; and Kim Don Kenway of NC; five grandchildren: Robert, Joseph, Kristin, Jessica, and Jason; and three great granddaughters: Samantha, Sophia, and Sabrina.
All services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to the Medical Intensive Care Unit at St. Joe's, 301 Prospect Ave., Syracuse NY 13203.
