Helen (Lutz) Breman, 90, formerly of Mattydale, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 216 at Loretto. Born in McCool Junction, NE, she grew up on a farm and met the love of her life, Donald Breman, while he was stationed at Fairmont AAF Base during WWII. After marrying, she lived in Mattydale for 67 years before moving to Loretto in 2012.
Helen was known for her friendly smile and spent many hours volunteering at Calvary UM Church and her children's schools. She and Don were devoted to family and enjoyed traveling to all 50 states and Europe. Helen liked to square dance and was a member of the Salina Civic Seniors.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Don, in 2003 and by her grandson, Brian Schlecht, in 2002.
Surviving are her two daughters: Patricia (Paul) Schlecht of Union, KY and Shirley (Wayne) Brownson of Minoa; three grandchildren: Karyn (Lauren) Brownson, Eric Schlecht, and Jeffrey (Chrissy) Brownson; great grandchildren: Ryan and Cole Brownson and Josephine Brownson-Appel; and by her cousins.

Friends may call on Friday from 4 - 7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, 1:00 pm, at the funeral home with burial following in North Syracuse Cemetery.
