Lynn David Anderson, 72, of Beach Road in Brewerton, passed away Sunday, April 21st, 2024, at home with his loving family and friends by his side. Born on August 27, 1951, in Sisseton, South Dakota, to the late Gustav and Marion (Drovdahl) Anderson, he was a 1969 graduate of Douglas High School in Box Elder, SD. He furthered his education at Onondaga Community College and obtained an Engineering degree from Hartford Steam Boiler.
He was a dedicated Nuclear Engineer in charge of Inspections at Nine Mile before retiring in 2018. Not only was Lynn accomplished in his career, but he also served his country with honor. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Alaska and Georgia. Lynn was known for being an avid boater, especially around Oneida Lake and also enjoyed gardening. He was a diehard fan of S.U. and the Denver Broncos. Lynn loved music, with Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix being his all-time favorites. He loved tailgate parties, entertaining, and cooking for friends and family. Lynn was a member of the Cicero American Legion and the Elks Lodge in Baldwinsville. He was a longtime member of Luther Memorial and Faith Lutheran Churches where he served as Past President of the Council, Head Trustee, as well as a Head Usher.
Lynn was predeceased by his brother, Gary Anderson, and an infant sister.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Maureen L. (Connors); their two children: Paul Anderson (Traci) of Lexington, NC, and Laura Anderson (Dave) of North Syracuse; three grandsons: Austin, Parker, and Mason Anderson; and by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Monday, April 29th, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 435 South Main St., North Syracuse. Funeral Services will begin at 11 am in church and burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Oswego.Monday, April 29, 2024
