Willard ?Bill? Lyon, 61 of Griffiths St., Syracuse, died Monday at his home. A native of Moira, NY and a graduate of Brushton-Moira High School, he resided in Syracuse for the past 41 years. He retired on the 1st of July after more than 30 years with the bakery sanitation department of the Penny Curtis Baking Co. Prior to that he worked for 7 years at the Tip Top Baking Co. He was a member of the Bakery, Confectionery and Tobacco Workers International Union Local # 116.
He was predeceased by his wife of 38 years the former Gertrude Roscoe in 2004 and a granddaughter Allison Kimball in 1990. Surviving are two daughters Laura Kimball of Liverpool, Elsie Kenneth Lathrop of Syracuse, three sons Harold Rousseau of Phoenix, Timothy Rousseau of Delmar, MD, David Rousseau of Liverpool, a sister June Hastings of Moira, 20 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at the Krueger Funeral Home Mattydale. Services will be 10 am Thursday at the funeral home 2619 Brewerton Rd. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery
