James N. MacBride, 92 formerly of Mattydale passed away Wednesday at the Episcopal Church Home in Rochester. Jim was born in Richland, NY and was a resident of Mattydale 60 years before moving to Rochester in 2005.
He was tool and die maker at General Motors for 10 years and then was employed at General Electric for 29 years as a tool and die maker and later as a producability engineer retiring in 1975. Jim was past president of the G.E. Softball Assoc. and the G.E. Farrell Rd. Golf League. He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Mattydale where he was a member of the church?s Men?s Club.
Surviving are his wife of 68 years, the former Florence Haas, a son and daughter-in-law, James N. Jr. and Ann Marie MacBride of Rochester, 2 grandchildren, Chuck DeeAnn MacBride of Denver, Colorado and Kristen Monte Bradshaw of Hudson, Ohio, and 3 great-grandchildren, Ryan MacBride and Robert and Andrew Bradshaw.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday at the Calvary United Methodist Church. 201 E. Malloy Rd. in Mattydale. Burial will follow in Collamer Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2-6 pm Sunday at the Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd. Rt. 11 Mattydale.
Friends are invited to a reception at the church following the graveside service. In Jim?s memory contributions may be made to the Calvary United Methodist Church.
