Charles “Chuck” Edward Manion passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family, on September 11, 2020. Charles lived 86 good years, 66 of those with his loving wife Mary Anne Lindsay Manion. Charles was born in Syracuse, NY in 1933 and lived there all his life. He worked for General Electric (GE) as a wireman for Radar and Sonar Systems for 38 years. He enjoyed his camp on Sandy Pond, his dogs, and his cars. There wasn’t a thing he couldn’t fix – a true handyman.
Charles was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Joseph Manion, and his siblings, Dorothy, Joseph, and Bernard.
He is survived by his wife Mary Anne, his children: Lorraine (Don), John, and Brian (Jennifer); his five grandchildren: Julie, Caitlin (Thomas), Jesse, Tara, and Kasey; one great grandchild, Logan; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Monday from 10:30 – 11:00 AM at St. Margaret’s Church followed by an 11:00 AM Mass. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery. Face coverings will be required, and CDC & NYS Dept. of Health guidelines will be enforced.
