Angelina "Angie" R. Manti, 93, of East Syracuse, died Monday at Sunnyside Nursing Home. Angie was a native of Syracuse and had resided in Liverpool for 11 years prior to moving to Sunnyside Nursing Home in 2003. She was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Mariannia Giunta.
Angie retired in 1983 after 13 years as a women's building attendant at Syracuse University. Prior to that, she worked as a seamstress for many years at Learbury's, Addis and Co., and Dey Brothers. She was a former member of Our Lady of Pompei Church and St. Margaret's Church.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law: Patricia Manti and Barry Cramer of Liverpool; two step sons and their wives: Daniel and JoAnn Manti of FL and Richard and Lucia Manti of North Carolina; her five grandchildren: Michelle, Daniel, Kayla, Christopher, and Andrea; one great grandson, Donovan; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday from 10-11am at Krueger Funeral Home Inc., 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Prayer will begin at 11am followed by an 11:30am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret's Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
