Robert Martin

Robert W. Martin, 52, of Redwood Drive, North Syracuse died Sunday at St. Camillus Health & Rehabilitation Center. Bob was the eldest son of the late Bob and Mable Martin. He was raised in Mattydale and moved to North Syracuse in the 1970?s. After suffering a heart attack in 1999, he has received remarkable care from the staff at St. Camillus.
Bob was a 1972 graduate of North Syracuse High School and shortly after, began working as a Cutterman for the Syracuse Lithographing Co. in Syracuse, where he worked until he became disabled. He enjoyed working with his hands doing home projects. He also liked to target shoot.
Surviving are his wife of 10 years, the former Sally Neulon Sherman, a daughter Jill Ben Kowalski of Grand Island, NY two step children Lisa Nicole Sherman of Liverpool, Scott Robert Sherman living at home and a brother William Sharon Martin of Mattydale two grandchildren Dylan and Kaitlin Kowalski and a nephew John Martin.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Thursday at the Krueger Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 am Friday at the funeral home 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the St. Camillus Health & Rehabilitation Center Patient Fund 813 Fay Rd.
