Maxine (Fleming) Barber, 71, of Liverpool, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Born on August 27, 1952, to the late Maxwell and Rose (Ayerst) Fleming, Maxine was raised in Mattydale and was a 1970 graduate of Bishop Grimes.
She worked as a bookkeeper at the Euclid Hotel in Clay for the past 35 years. Maxine enjoyed camping with her family in Upstate, NY, was an avid “Grobanite”, a proud marching band parent, and was always involved with anything relating to her family. They were the light of her life.
Maxine was predeceased by her infant son, Jason Lawrence Barber in 1982 and by a brother-in-law, Mark Brosh.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Lawrence “Larry” N. Barber; their three daughters: Bethany (Anthony) Armelino of Cicero, Kimberly (Jacob) Pforter of Liverpool, and Staci (Bryan) Yerton of Liverpool; five siblings: Michael (Jackie) Fleming of Brewerton, Lori Brosh of Mooresville, NC, Diane Teska of Mattydale, Cindy Drew of Mattydale, and Dan (Michelle) Fleming of Cicero; grandmother of Dakota, Jayden, Hailey, Braiden, Logan, Trenton, Dekon, Ethan, Rosemary, Mackenzy, and Madilyn; and by several nieces and nephews.
