Rosemary McCarthy

September 28, 1932 — March 5, 2007

Rosemary Lacken McCarthy, 74, of Liverpool, died Monday, peacefully at home with her family at her side. A native of Syracuse Mrs. McCarthy resided in Mattydale for 40 years before moving to Liverpool in 1999. Rosemary was a graduate of St. Patrick?s Catholic School in Syracuse and retired in 2003 after 50 years as a bookkeeper at several area businesses including Auto Finishers in Syracuse and Paparazzi Day Spa in Liverpool. She was a communicant of St. Margaret?s Church in Mattydale and enjoyed fishing, reading, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years John ?Jack? in 2003. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law John P. and Giovanna McCarthy of Liverpool, a daughter and son-in-law Sheila and Jim Wilson of Parish, two sisters Marge Foody and Fran Doner both of Syracuse, four grandchildren Robert and Ryan McCarthy and Jason and Shari Wilson, a great granddaughter Angel Marie, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 9:30 am Monday at the Krueger Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Margaret?s Church. Friends may call from 1 to 3 pm Sunday at the funeral home 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Dewitt. Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY 990 7th North St. Liverpool, NY 13088.
