Thomas "Mike" McCloat II, 51, of Syracuse, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017, at University Hospital with his family by his side. Mike was born in Syracuse, grew up in North Syracuse and resided on the North side of Syracuse since 2008. He was a 1983 graduate of Cicero High School.
He was a member of the Teamsters Local #317 and worked for many years at various companies in the Syracuse area. Mike was an accomplished league bowler with a perfect 300 game to his credit, bowling primarily at Bowling Green in North Syracuse. He was a huge sports fan following the Yankees, the Patriots and NASCAR especially in the Dale Earnhardt days. One of his final enjoyments was watching his Patriots win the Super Bowl again. Mike was also an avid sportsman. He loved hunting, fishing and camping at the family camp on Hyde Lake, where his favorite past time was sitting around the fire with his family and friends with a cold beer in his hand.
He was predeceased by his mother, Judith, in 1981, his father, Thomas, in 2005 and step mother, Deborah, in 2013.
Mike is survived by his children: Shelby of Eastwood, Tommy and Abbey of Westvale; two brothers: Douglas (Robin Nelson) McCloat of Constantia, Robert (Kara) McCloat of Yorktown Heights; three sisters: Kimberly Labozzetta of Cicero, Teresa (Roger) Tibbetts of Fulton and Hope McCloat of Mattydale; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 3 - 6 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 6 pm. Spring burial will be in Hastings Cemetery.
