Allen A. Middleton, Jr., 73, of Mattydale, died Thursday, January 18, 2018 at home. Born in Rochester and raised in Irondequoit, NY, Allen relocated to the Syracuse area in 1960. He was the son of the late Aileen and Allen A. Middleton, Sr. Allen has resided in Mattydale for the past 44 years.
He retired in 2009 from Cooper Crouse Hinds in Syracuse after 49 years as a group leader, assembler and fork lift operator. Allen was a lifetime member of the Solvay Rod & Gun Club who enjoyed deer hunting with friends and family at his camp in Bath, NY. He also liked fishing with his son, Andrew, and for the past few years was active with his wife, Mary, fostering Pitbulls for Recycle-A-Bull Rescue locally. Allen was a "DieHard" NY Giants fan and was energized watching their games with his #1 grandson.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Mary (Burgess); their two children, Catherine (Scott Hoffman) Davis of East Syracuse and Andrew Middleton of Mattydale; two brothers, Richard (Rita) Middleton and Michael Middleton, both of Brewerton; his two grandchildren, Steven Davis of Mattydale and Jessica (Rick) Donovan of OH; and one great grandchild expected in March 2018.

Friends may call on Sunday from 1-4 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with Services following at 4:00 pm.
