John J. Milin, 85, of Clay died Saturday at his son's home. John was a native of Little Falls where he resided for most of his life before moving to Charlotte, NC, for 10 years and then to the North Syracuse area for the past 4 years. He was the son of the late Nick and Sinka Mestrov Milin.
John was a World War II Army Veteran who retired in 1987 after 20 years as a truck mechanic for Penn Truck Lines in East Syracuse. He was a life member of both the American Legion and VFW Posts in Little Falls. John was also a former pilot who owned his own plane for several years. He enjoyed playing pool and bowling; he belonged to several leagues both at Bowling Green and Flamingo Lanes.
John was predeceased by his wife, the former Betty Rolley, and by his brothers, Nicholas and Joey.
Surviving are his three children: Kenneth Lamoureux of San Antonio, TX, Martin Kathleen Lamoureux of Clay, and Cindy Jim Brutcher of Palermo; a sister: Anne Ring of Clay; his six grandchildren: Leonard, Shana, Andrew, Elizabeth, Casey, and Mark; and a great granddaughter, Addison.
