Mildred Moon

Mildred "Millie" Alt Moon, 87, resident of Toomey Abbott Towers in Syracuse for 35 years, passed away Wednesday at her home. Millie was a native of Syracuse and the last surviving child born to the late Lenard & Ethel Alt.
She worked as a housekeeper for many years in private homes in the Syracuse and Lake George areas. Millie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted more than 20 years of her life to caring for her daughter Barbara Moon after a tragic car accident.
She was predeceased by her parents, four siblings: Ken Alt, Dorothy Dirson, Betty Monterville, and Robert Alt, and her daughter Barbara in 2004.
Surviving are her son: Lester Leslie Moon of Visalia CA, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday at 2pm in Loomis Hill Cemetery, Syracuse.
