George E. Moore, Jr., 49, died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital. George grew up in Fulton and resided in Syracuse for the past 30 years. He was a 1980 graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton. George worked at several Syracuse area restaurants for many years including Georgia's Restaurant and most recently Niko's Restaurant since 1997. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #1468 in the Valley and a guest member of the VFW Post #569 in Fulton. George enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Phoenix Man's Monday Night Classic League at Phoenix Bowling Alley.
He was predeceased by his father, George Moore, Sr., and by his sister, Lisa Wylie, both in 1993.
Surviving are his mother: Alice Moore, with whom he resided; two siblings: Christine Harvey Seymour of Fulton, and Michael Moore of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a 7 pm funeral service following. Burial will be at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
