Willard Nelson

Willard H. ?Bill? Nelson, 67, of Plymouth Ave., Mattydale, passed away Saturday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was the son of the late Willard L. and Edna F. Nelson. A native of Auburn Bill grew up in Skaneateles and graduated in 1958 from Skaneateles High. He then served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and has resided in Mattydale for the past eight years.
Bill retired in 2005 after 20 years as a Bookkeeper for several area companies including Agway Energy, the Onondaga Co. Dept. of the Aging and Howard?s Trucking Co. He enjoyed much of his free time reading Novels and was especially interested in Egyptology.
Bill is survived by a sister Josephine Shaw of North Syracuse, several nieces and nephews and a close friend Ian Kirkpatrick with whom he resided.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale followed by a funeral service at 7 pm at the funeral home.
