Karen Ann Nicoletti, 46, of Mattydale, passed away Thursday at Francis House following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Despite a valiant effort on her part, Karen?s strength persevered for two years before succumbing to its effects. Karen was a native of Central Square and resided on West Molloy Road in Mattydale for 22 years. She was a 1982 graduate of P.V. Moore High School in Central Square and attended Syracuse University School of Music. Karen was the general manager for Wendy?s Restaurant on Park Street in Syracuse for the past 10 years.
Surviving are her daughter: Victoria Nicoletti with whom she resided and Tori?s father, Tony Nicoletti of East Syracuse; her father and mother: Alvaro and Phyllis Baum of Central Square; two siblings: Deborah O'Neil of Liverpool, and David Robin Baum of Perryville, MD; as well as her niece: Meghan O?Neil, and nephew: Patrick O'Neil.
Friends may call on Monday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, 10 am at Dewitt Community Church followed by burial in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Karen?s memory may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse NY 13208.
