Norma O'Brien

April 22, 1923 — November 24, 2007

Norma Hunter, Corcoran O?Brien, 84 formerly of Orchard Dr. West, North Syracuse, died Saturday at Loretto, Cunningham, Syracuse. Norma was a native of Amsterdam, NY and resided in N. Syracuse for 51 years before moving to Loretto in 2003.
Norma was a 1941 graduate of St. Vincent DePaul High in Syracuse. Norma loved to entertain friends at home and she was a primary caregiver to several members of her family throughout the years. She was a communicant of St. Margaret?s Church.
Norma retired in 1985 after 13 years as an Accounting Clerk in the credit and collections dept. of the Carrier Corp. and prior to that she worked as a sales clerk for several years for the Sibley?s Dept. Store in Syracuse.
She was predeceased by her first husband of 28 years, William J. Corcoran Jr. in 1971 and by her second husband of 16 years, Joseph O?Brien in 2001.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Colleen Richard Flask, of North Syracuse, her son, Timothy Sharon Corcoran, of Baldwinsville, three granddaughters, Tracey Wilcox, Michelle Lonkey and Carrie Corcoran, and three great grandsons Adam, Ryan and Devon.
Friends may call 4 to 7 Tuesday at Krueger Funeral 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale. Services are 8:45 am Wednesday at the funeral home and 9:30 at St. Margaret?s Church in Mattydale. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Dewitt. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer?s Association, 441 West Kirkpatrick Street, Syracuse, NY 13204.
