Marge O'Connor (Rayo)

Marge O'Connor, 86, longtime resident of Mattydale, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017. Born and raised in Syracuse, Marge was the daughter of the late Paul G. and Margaret (Vogt) O'Connor. She worked for Carrier Corporation in Syracuse before retiring. Marge enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, and Sudoku as well as her travels to Las Vegas and Florida. Marge was a fan of S.U. Lacrosse and Basketball and followed her grandsons' high school and college lacrosse games and theatrical productions.

Marge is survived by three daughters: Kathleen (Richard) Macko, Janet (James) Rommel and Diane Rayo; a son: Jim Rayo; five grandchildren: Gregory (Kelly) Rommel, Jeffrey and Tim Rommel, Aimee and Kevin Rayo; one great granddaughter, Harper Rommel; her furever companion, Buddy; and by many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank PACE CNY for their kindness and patience in the care of their Mom.

Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home Inc., 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Burial will be private.
