Michael "Mike" Oliver

Michael “Mike” Oliver, 36, of Mattydale, died Saturday, March 14th, 2020. A native of Cicero, Mike was a 2001 graduate from Cicero North Syracuse High School. He resided in Mattydale for the past 10 years.
Mike was employed with the Syracuse City Schools as a maintenance worker since 2011 and coached Junior Varsity Boys Soccer at Nottingham High School. As a former journeyman plumber, he enjoyed doing side plumbing jobs when available. Mike was a volunteer firefighter for Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Dept., loved playing with his nephews and walking his dog, Melo.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Peter and Peggy Rinella and Charles and Betty Oliver.
Mike is survived by his his parents, Dave and Kathy Oliver of Cicero; a brother, Scott (Laju) Oliver of Cicero; two nephews, Jaxon and Andru; his girlfriend, Palma Savinelli; and his dog, Melo.
Contributions in his memory may be made to Helping Hounds Dog Rescue, 7268 Caswell Street, North Syracuse, NY 13212.
Services were held privately and at the convenience of the family.
