Jane (Prusinowski) Oriente, 102, formerly of 135 Orchard Drive East, N. Syracuse, died peacefully Monday, March 20, 2017, at Loretto Cunningham. Jane was born in Syracuse to the late Julian and Emily (Zawadski) Prusinowski. She attended Transfiguration School in Syracuse.
Jane worked as a bookkeeper in the 1940s for R. E. Dietz Co. in Syracuse until leaving to raise her family. She later worked for the Liverpool School District cafeteria. Jane and her husband were members of the Mattydale-Hinsdale Senior Citizens. They traveled with the seniors to many locations, including Hawaii. They enjoyed frequent visits with their daughter and grandson in Middleboro, MA. Jane loved maintaining her home, canning and crocheting. Jane was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church, Mattydale.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 2004, and siblings Sally Sobotka, Gen Chrostowski, Bill, Dooley and Ray Prusinowski.
Jane is survived by a daughter Mary Anne Mather of Middleboro, MA and Roanoke, VA; her grandson Jaime (Jessica) Mather of Roanoke; two great grandchildren, Isabella and Lennon; two sisters-in-law, Mary Carello and Josephine Gettino, both of Syracuse; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family extends their appreciation for the kindness and wonderful care afforded to Jane by the staff on the 13th Floor of the Cunningham.

Friends may call on Friday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at noon in St. Margaret's Church, 203 Roxboro Rd., Mattydale.
