Henrietta Paterek

Henrietta C. Berger Paterek, 86, of Lind Ave in Mattydale died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Henrietta was a native of Solvay and had resided in Mattydale since 1952; she was the last of 16 children born to the late Frederick and Barbara Berger.
She was a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Syracuse.
Henrietta was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Frederick J. Paterek in 2004.
Surviving are her children: Barbara Charles Lacey of Mattydale, and Joseph Paterek of Oswego; her five grandchildren: Elizabeth Shoff of Syracuse, Anna and Beth Lacey both of Syracuse, and Alec and Danielle Paterek both of Baldwinsville; her three great grandchildren: Ashley Shoff, Eric Lacey and Joshua Lacey Baldwin; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family upon Henrietta's request. Entombment was in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association Upstate NY Chapter P.O. Box 3049 Syracuse, NY 13220.
