Kay A. "Aunt Kay" (Perry) Moore

Kay "Aunt Kay" A. Moore, 73, life resident of Cazenovia, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Born on February 23, 1943 to the late Lloyd and Gladys Perry, Kay was a 1961 graduate of Cazenovia High School. She resided in Germany with her husband during his military career and most recently lived in Mattydale.
Kay worked at Cazenovia College as a housekeeper and for Cazenovia Central Schools in the cafeteria. She later worked as a clerk at the Mattydale K-Mart and cared for children in her home for many years. Kay was known to always make her home available to anyone in need of a place to stay; it was lovingly referred to as "Moore's Motel." Kay volunteered as a dispatcher and crew member at Cazenovia Volunteer Ambulance Corps (CAVAC) and was a member of the Cazenovia Baptist Church where she volunteered as a custodian.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Kerry Moore; their three children: Ernest Moore of Wake Forest, NC, Sonia (Gary) Reaves of Southport, NC, and Jeffrey Moore of Mattydale; a brother: Lloyd Perry Sr. of Great Falls, MT; her four grandchildren: Charlie, Shane, Cassandra, and Brianna; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions in Kay's memory be made to CAVAC, P.O. Box 56, Cazenovia, NY 13035.
A Time of Sharing will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale.
